  1. 200 grams Fresh coconut grated
  2. one hundred grams roasted chana/gram
  3. 2 green chillies chopped
  4. one sprig curry leaves
  5. one teaspoon mint leaves (my secret ingredient)
  6. 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  7. 1 teaspoon curd
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  9. With regard to tempering
  10. 1 teaspoon essential oil
  11. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  12. 10 curry leaves
  13. 2 dry red chillies

  1. Mix all ingredients and make a paste in the food processor add some salt to taste.

  2. Add lemon juice and mix effectively.

  3. For tempering
    Heat oil in a tadka baking pan.

  4. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dry red chillies.

  5. When all spices splutter, put this tempering to the coconut chutney.

  6. Serve with idlis, dosas, uttapam and medu vadas.
