Easy Butajiru / Tonjiru Recipes

  1. three or more cups Dashi Share OR Water
  2. 200 h Pork *thinly chopped up
  3. 1/2 Carrot
  4. 1/2 Red onion
  5. 150 g Konnyaku *optional
  6. 2-3 Satoimo (Taro) OR just one Potato
  7. 2-3 Shiitake
  8. 1/2 Gobo *optional
  9. 1/2 block out Tofu
  10. three to four tablespoons Miso
  11. 2-3 Spring Red onion *finely chopped
  12. Shichimi (Japanese Chilli Powder) *optional

Step-step making Easy Butajiru / Tonjiru Recipes>

  1. Prepare the Vegetables and Pork. Slice Pork thinly, and cut Vegetables plus Tofu into small bite-size pieces.

  2. Heat Dashi Stock (OR Water) and Vegetables in a pot, plus cook on a medium heat until vegetables are soft. Then add thinly sliced Pork.

  3. When Pork is cooked, add Miso and Tofu. Eliminate the soup from the heat simply before it starts to boil.

  4. Sprinkle finely chopped spring onions, and serve. *Shichimi (Japanese Chilli Powder) is also recommended to add additional flavour.
