The ingredients for making Easy Chocolate Dream Pie Recipes

  1. MERINGUE PIE SHELL:
  2. 4 EGG WHITES, room temperature
  3. 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  4. 1 cup superfine sugar
  5. 1/8 tsp. salt
  6. FILLING:
  7. 4 egg yolks
  8. 3 oz unsweetened chocolate
  9. 1/2 cup superfine sugar
  10. 1/8 tsp salt
  11. 2 Tbsp water
  12. 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  13. TOPPING:
  14. 1 cup heavy cream
  15. 2 Tbsp superfine sugar
  16. 1/2 tsp vanilla
  17. 2 Tbsp grated unsweetened chocolate

Step-step making Chocolate Dream Pie

  1. PREHEAT oven to 250F. Separate the eggs. BEAT the egg whites plus cream of tartar in a bowl on high speed until foamy. Whilst still beating constantly, ADD the sugar, 2 Tbsp. at a time, beating after each addition until sugar will be dissolved before adding the next. (Rub a bit of meringue between thumb and forefinger; it should feel completely smooth. ) Continue beating until whites are glossy and stand in rigid peaks.

  2. SPREAD the meringue into a 9-inch Pyrex pie dish. With the back of a spoon, build up the edge to type a rim. The finished result ought to be in the shape of a pie shell.

  3. BAKE the shell in 250F oven until firm and wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Turn off the oven. Let the shell dry in oven, along with door closed, until it is awesome and crisp, at least 1 hour.

  7. Transfer the mixture into a double boiler and heat on low until thick.

  9. Whip the cream until it forms soft peaks.

  10. Fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream.   11. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and cool for at least 4 hours.

  12. Before Serving, make the whipped cream topping. To do this, put the heavy cream, vanilla and sugar in a bowl and beat until the cream is stiff. Spread the whipped cream on top of the pie and sprinkle the top along with grated chocolate.
