The ingredients for making Easy Banh Trang Tron – Viet Rice Paper salad Recipes

  1. 8-10 linens rice paper cut in to 3 inch strips
  2. 1 cup julienned green mango (adding even more green mango will add more dampness to this salad)
  3. 1 cup chopped rau ram
  4. 1/4 mug dried proteins (shredded meat jerky, shredded squid, dehydrated field shrimp, or none)
  5. quail egg cell (or 1 hard boil egg reduce into 8 pieces)
  6. 2 tablespoon cooking oil
  7. 3 tablespoon minced green onion
  8. shrimp salt ‘muoi tom’ (or ocean salt)
  9. sugar
  10. 1 lime
  11. maggi spices
  12. chili oil
  13. fried shallot
  14. crushed peanuts

Step-step making Banh Trang Tron – Viet Rice Paper salad

  1. Sauteed the green onions in the oil until fragrance. If you are using tep kho (dehydrated field shrimp) add it to the oil plus sauteed until fragrance.

  2. Add the rice paper strips to a large bowl and the add the hot oil with green onions plus tep kho. Use your gloves to mix as much of rice papers and oil together to help make softer the rice paper.

  3. Season the rice paper with 1 lime, some shrimp salt (sea salt will be a lot saltier so use it sparingly), a sprinkle of sugar, fruit juice of 1 lime, hot chili essential oil, and a couple dash of maggi seasoning. Mix well or it will certainly get clumpy. Make sure every portion of the rice paper is season thoroughly.

  4. Once you are satisfied with the seasoning add the green mango, shredded protein, quail egg cell, chopped rau, crush peanuts, and fried shallot. Toss and mix so that all the components are evenly dispersed.
