  1. 1 mug warm water
  2. 1 tbsp butter
  3. 1 pkg active dry yeast
  4. 1 mug warm milk
  5. 2 tbsp sugar
  6. 5-6 cups all purpose flour

Step-step making Turkey shaped rolls

  1. Microwave the warm, milk and sugar for 30 seconds.

  2. Measure 4 cups of flour into a large bowl. Sprinkle yeast over flour and mix. Make a well in center of flour. Pour the warm mixture into the well. Stir to in corporate the dry and wet ingredients.

  3. Swirl 1 cup of flour on the counter. Empty the bowl of moist dough on to the flour. Sprinkle the lump of dough with the last cup of flour.

  4. Knead the dough with floured hands until smooth and elastic. Let the dough rest and rise on the counter by covering with a greased bowl for 30 min.

  5. Remove the bowl, punch down the dough and divide into 24 equal pieces.

  6. Roll one of the pieces into a rope about 7-9 inches long. Make a circle and loop one end of the rope through the circle. Flatten one end with your thumbs to make a fan tail… snip feathers with a pair of scissors. Fashion the opposite end of the rope into a turkey neck. Place roll on a greased cookie sheet to rise for about 1 hour.

  7. Brush rolls with a beaten egg before baking in a 350 degree oven. Rolls take approx 15 min to bake. Gloss over the hot rolls with a stick butter. Your guests will enjoy your creativity! Gobble, gobble!
