The ingredients Easy Moong dal idli Recipes

  1. 250 gm yellow moong dal
  2. 150 gm curd
  3. 1 tsp eno/baking soda
  4. 1 tsp ginger paste
  5. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  6. For tempering:
  7. 1 tbsp oil
  8. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  9. 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  10. Curry patta

Step-step making Easy Moong dal idli Recipes

  1. Soak dal for 3-4 hours. Eliminate excess water and grind in the smooth paste.

  2. Add curd, salt, ginger, chilli paste and blend all properly. Batter consistency should become thick like Idli batter.

  3. Keep rest for fermentation for 4-5 hours.

  4. Add Eno plus mix well. Grease idli plates. Put batter in each pit.

  5. Steam for 10-12 minutes on higher to medium flame.

  6. Demould idli. Cut from center.

  7. For tadka: Heat oil in the pan. Add mustard seeds. Once it crackles add sesame seeds. Switch away gas.

  8. Pour this tadka on idli. And serve with your own choice of chutney. I have served it with tomato
