The ingredients for making Easy Banana & Custard Tart Recipes

  1. 1 Frozen Sweet Fran/Pie Base * I used 22cm case
  2. 3 Bananas *if large ones, you probably need 2 and 1/2
  3. 2 Eggs
  4. 1/4 cup Caster Sugar
  5. 1/2 cup Cream
  6. 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  7. 1 tablespoon Plain Flour
  8. Almond Flakes

Step-step making Banana & Custard Tart

  1. Preheat oven to 160 to 170C. Place the frozen sweet pie base on an oven tray. *I am sure that the home made sweet tart base would taste a lot better, but I always used ready-to-bake frozen Sweet Pie Base for this, and it is just fine.

  2. Mix Eggs, Sugar, Cream, Flour and Vanilla very well, then warm in the microwave. Do not cook the mixture, you just need to warm it at low power for a few minutes.

  3. Cut the bananas about 2 to 3cm and arrange the pieces on the pie base. If the pie base is still frozen, it is OK.

  4. Pour the Egg mixture over the Banana pieces and sprinkle some Almond Flakes, then bake for 50 minutes or until the custard is cooked and golden. Cool completely.
