Easy NASU SOMEN (Simmered Eggplant and SOMEN noodle) Recipes

The ingredients for making Easy NASU SOMEN (Simmered Eggplant and SOMEN noodle) Recipes

  1. 3 egg plant (about 300g)
  2. one hundred ml (about3. 4 oz) water
  3. 3 tbsp me llaman sauce
  4. 3 tbsp sugars
  5. 3 tbsp mirin
  6. a few tbsp sesame oil
  7. one piece ABURA-AGE fried TOFU
  8. 10 g IRIKO dried out sardines (or NIBOSHI)
  9. 4 bundles somen noodle
  10. 150 ml(about 5 oz) MENTSUYU (see the MENTSUYU recipe)
  11. 2 tsp chopped green onion
  12. 1 tsp grated ginger roots
  13. Chili pepper (only if you like)

Step-step making NASU SOMEN (Simmered Eggplant and SOMEN noodle)

  1. Cut the stem off from eggplant, cut in half lengthwise. (if really big, cut the eggplant in 1 / 4. ) Make shallow cut in top to bottom. Soak the eggplants in water.

  2. Cut ABURA-AGE into 2 in length rectangles.

  3. Put sesame oil in a medium pot, and warm the oil over low high temperature. Add IRIKO and cook, stirring regularly, until just fragrant.

  4. Dry up the eggplants with a paper cloth. Then, Add the Eggplant. Increase typically the heat to medium. Stir-fry the eggplant until it covered with oil.

  5. Add the water, soy marinade, sugar and MIRIN and ABURA-AGE. Simmer with the lid for about 12-15 minutes until eggplants are tender.
