  1. 500 grams Amla/Gooseberries
  2. 1 teaspoon mustard oil
  3. 2 teaspoon sugar or jaggery
  4. 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1 tsp coriander powder
  7. 1/2 tsp salt or to flavor
  8. 1/2 teaspoon saunf
  9. one teaspoon (rai / sarson)
  10. 1/2 teaspoon methi seeds
  11. 2 pinch hing/asafoetida
  12. eight green chillies chopped in to 1 inch pieces or as for each the taste

Step-step making Easy Khatti Meethi Amla Launji Recipes

  1. Boil the amlas in a pressure cooker only for one whistle and let the pressure release by itself.

  2. When cool, remove the seeds and separate the segments.

  3. Heat oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds, fennel seeds, methi seeds, asafoetida and chopped chillies and sauté for a minute.

  4. Add the amla segments, salt and the dry masalas, mix well for two minutes.

  5. Add sugar and sprinkle one teaspoon of water.

  6. Mix again, amlas attain a glazed look.

  7. Remove from the flame after a minute.

  8. Serve hot or cool while you like with paranthas, pooris or just like that.
