The ingredients Easy Totha Recipes

  1. 250 grams whole tuvar
  2. 1 glass chopped spring onion (white part)
  3. 1/2 cup sliced green leaves of spring onion
  4. 2 hundred g chopped tomatoes
  5. 2 hundred g fresh garlic
  6. 6-8 crushed green chillies
  7. a single tablespoon ginger paste
  8. 150-200 ml oil
  9. 2 tbsp. of mustard seeds
  10. 2 tbsp. of cumin seeds
  11. 1 tea spoons carrom seeds
  12. 1/4 tea spoons asafoetida
  13. to taste Salt
  14. 4-5 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  15. 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  16. 4 tablespoon dhania powder
  17. 4-5 tablespoon garam masala powder
  18. 1/2 glass chopped fresh coriander finds
  19. 2 tablespoon lemon liquid

Step-step making Easy Totha Recipes

  1. Soak whole tuvar in warm water for 8-9 hours.

  2. Then boil in pressure cooker with salt and enough water till 5-6 whistles.

  3. Wash and chop fresh garlic and grind in mixer grinder and make paste.

  4. In a pan heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and carrom seeds. When crackles add asafoetida.

  5. Add crushed green chillies and ginger paste. Add fresh garlic paste and saute it.

  6. Add chopped spring onion (white part and green part both). Saute till oil seperates.

  7. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till tomatoes turns soft.

  8. Add salt (for gravy) and mix well. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and dhania powder. Mix well.

  9. Add boiled whole tuvar (with water) and mix well. Add chopped fresh coriander leaves. Cover with lid and cook for 4-5 minutes. Adjust consistency with water.

  10. Finally add lemon juice, mix well. Tempting totha is ready to serve. Enjoy with bread or bajri rotla and buttermilk.
