The ingredients Easy Kerala Sambhar Recipes

  1. 1/3 rd Toor Daal
  2. 1 Lemon sized Tamarind ball
  3. 2 cups cubed Vegetable (White pumpkin, yellow Cucumber, brinjal, carrots, lady’s finger etc)
  4. 4-5 Drumstick pieces cut lengthwise
  5. 1 chopped Tomato
  6. 1 Natural Chillies slit (optional)
  7. 1/2 tsp 0.25 tsp Turmeric
  8. to flavor Salt
  9. 3 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
  10. For Masala:
  11. 1/3 cup grated Coconut
  12. 2 tsp Urad Dal
  13. 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  14. 4-5 dried out Red Chillies
  15. 1/4 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  16. 3 tablespoon Coriander seeds
  17. 1 tbsp Chana Dal
  18. 4 Shallots or 1/2 onions chopped
  19. 2 sprigs Curry Leaves
  20. For Seasoning:
  21. 2 tsp Coconut oil
  22. 1/4 tsp Hing
  23. 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  24. 2 dry reddish chillies
  25. 1 tsp Mustard Seeds

Step-step making Easy Kerala Sambhar Recipes

  1. Soak tamarind in warm water intended for 45 minutes

  2. Clean toor dal. discard the water

  3. In pressure cooker, add dal, turmeric and water. pressure cook until performed

  4. Mash dal. keep that aside

  5. Heat oil throughout a pan, add dals and fenugreek seeds seeds. saute until brown

  6. Add coriander seeds, dry red chillies, shallots/onion and curry leaves. mix

  7. Add coconut and saute right up until golden brown

  8. Allow to be able to cool completely

  9. Pressure make meals vegetables for 1 whistle with very little water and 1/4 tsp turmeric

  10. Grind cooled mixture with normal water to smooth paste

  11. Add more dal, tamarind water, ground paste, garlic, salt, bhendi to cooked vegetables

  12. Bring to boil, simmer and even cook for 15-20 minutes

  13. Heat oil in a small griddle. add hing and splutter mustard seed

  14. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves. saute for 3-4 seconds.

  15. Add coriander finds seasoning to sambhar. mix well.
